We had a glimpse of Spring yesterday in Seattle - full sun and warm! The weather inspired me to start closing the books on wintery fabric, and start looking for new prints. I have been adoring the arrow motif recently - it's so hot right now! Adorned in white and gold, this pillow is such a winner. Roostery >
I can't help but get pretty excited about these little knobs. They just make me so happy looking at them! I'm in the process of having a dresser refinished in Benjamin Moore Gentleman's Gray (which is really a beautiful navy), and I'm thinking I'm going to just have to add these bunny knobs to complete the piece. Thankfully, my clients have the same appreciation for flare as I do! Anthropologie >
I first saw this piece when I was visiting my family in San Francisco in 2014. The quote spoke to me, and I immediately wanted this piece for my own home! It's really the perfect size (3x4'), and looks great when combined with similar pieces from the same collection. The frames can easily be leaned against a wall or hung. They are definitely conversation pieces, while also being quite beautiful and unique. Love, love, love.
I love the design of this hand painted square sign. The rustic wood frame looks great next to the black and white text. The font is playful, yet sophisticated. The message is a great reminder for kids as well as adults. I can see this sign on an entryway console or even on a fireplace mantle, nestled next to a small indoor plant and maybe some candles.
This restored gray dresser (Henredon original) is a work of art! I love the 2-tone base, the soft gray paint color, and of course the custom lucite pulls with brass hardware. I can see this dresser adding beauty and sophistication to any bedroom young or old. Great colors, great size, great hardware, great piece!
I just love the chevron pattern on the top of this table - so unique! I like the warm wood tones and the simple hairpin steel legs - so versatile for any space. I've ordered several tables from Atlas Wood Co., and have always found them to be well made, unique, and reasonably pried. If you're looking for a unique, hand-crafted piece, and like the thought of supporting small businesses and artisans, I highly recommend checking them out!
I have been so attracted to yellow recently! Today, I bought 2 yellow chairs, had 2 chairs upholstered in this versatile Duralee buttercup fabric (42211-610), and bought a lovely yellow vintage vase for my mantle. Great day!
This Durable fabric is available in a variety of colorways: black, blue, gray and yellow (pictured). The trellis pattern gives it a contemporary feel, while having a vintage vibe. If you're not fond of yellow, check out the pummice gray (#358). It's great.
This wallpaper is a great 'first paper' for anyone who might be a little nervous or overwhelmed by the thought of wallpaper. Its neutral color way and contemporary pattern will add a little (a lot of!) pizzazz to an entryway, powder room, etc. The best news is that this wallpaper is actually a sticker (literally). It can easily be applied to a smooth wall - no paste required. Try putting it on the back wall of built-in cabinets or even in the drawers of an antique piece of furniture. Because it can easily be removed, there's really no risk for trying it out.
This pendant is impressive in person. It's large (17D x 24H), has a beautiful silhouette, and casts quite a bit of light (up to 100 watts). This fixture looks great as a pair over a large island or over a long dining table. I've also installed it over a smaller kitchen table. This piece can be dressed up or dressed down, making it a solid piece for any home with a transitional style.
There's something about white furnishings and decor that attracts me. Perhaps it's because I live in Seattle where gloomy days are the norm, but I still think there's something so feminine and classic about the color white. In fact, my kids always joke that my favorite color is white...
The clean lines on this piece give this piece a modern voice, while the white lacquer adds a tremendous amount of personality. I love the integration of antique brass fixtures, and the thoughtful shape of the legs. This piece could be used anywhere - a dining room buffet, a master bedroom dresser, or even a media console in the living room.
